Rita Carvalho hails from the city of Lisbon, finished her prior studies on arts at Agrupamento de escolas Professor Reynaldo dos Santos, a drawer and painter currently studying at the School of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technologies (ECATI) , at ULusófona, started in 2021 and is scheduled to finish said degree in the current year of 2024,  working on her artistic value in the visual arts course, she began developing mainly the abstract style, with the aim of transferring her emotional state and feelings into the paintings themselves, always trying to speak to the observer through her complex use of color palettes and attempting to reach an understanding between said colors and the emotions being portrayed. Rita began exposing her artwork collectively in 2022 and has since developed multiple works, for multiple exhibitions, not all within the abstract styling, but also exploring different forms like realism and landscape painting, utilizing acrylic, watercolor and markers, unsure of her main focus the abstract always called more to her seeing as in itself is not a specific and detailed drawing but instead a mix and match of color, textures, emotions and brush strokes.
